Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Fresh slices from the oven

Coal fired pizza sounds piping hot. Good for cooking, not so much for eating. Nothing that a few of Anthony's Mojitos couldn't solve, amirite?

About Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Fresh slices from the oven

Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza has 67 locations nationwide, with 5 of them found here in the Commonwealth, the closest being Newton. This qualifies them to appoint an Executive Chef. I guess that's a big thing in the restaurant industry.

I'd say it's refreshing to see another pizza joint with alcohol, but ACFP is really a restaurant, not a sub shop. One of the many restaurants on Rt 9 in Natick.

The menu is loaded with culinary seriousness, like Broccoli Rabe, Vinegar Peppers, and Arugula. Seriously, who puts Arugula on a pizza? Anthony, that's who.

ACFP: a brief history

"At Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, everything comes from our oven – from Anthony’s signature, coal fired pizzas to his coal oven roasted chicken wings and coal fired roasted pork ribs. No matter what you order, you can always be sure everything will be served coal fired to perfection, tender and bursting with flavor. Whether it’s at your table, relaxing with family or taking in a game with friends at the bar, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza will satisfy all your coal fired cravings. “At 60+ locations (and growing), you can’t help crave all the full-flavor that comes from our 800-degree coal fired oven”."

Yeeouch! 800 degrees!

For real, this sounds pretty good. I might need to head there this weekend.

Pizza Catering

Anthony's knows how to throw a pizza party. They will throw in oven roasted chicken wings and their classic italian salad, or, you can go a la carte, which means, off the cart.

What to order: Eggplant Marino

The Eggplant Marino is named after NFL legend, and ACFP partner, Dan Marino.

Laces out, Dan!

Final thoughts on Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza - Fresh slices from the oven

I wish I had a coal fired pizza oven at my house. It would get a lot of use in January when Daddy throws out all of the coal that Santa gifted the kids!

Agostino's Italian Restaurant

A great place to get served some toasted ravioli and a plate of parmagiana. Agostino's has a good separation of church and state, with a formal dining room below, and a cozy bar above.
